Beautiful Botswana

December 2024

I have designed an incredible safari in Botswana scheduled for December 2024 that is perfect for anyone who loves wildlife and being outside exploring nature.

We’ll explore the lush waterscapes of the Okavango Delta. That means stunning game-viewing from boats or mokoros (local dugout canoes), which adds color and visual interest to your photographs. Botswana is less visited than East African countries so we’ll feel even more like we have the parks to ourselves. And there are species there that you either can’t see or are less likely to see in East Africa: antelope like sable, puku, red lechwe, and different varieties of birds.

All 3 camps I’ve chosen are small and intimate with only 8 rooms each. They have large, luxurious tents with hot showers, private bathrooms, and great food.

After arriving in Maun, we’ll start with 2 nights at Hyena Pan. There is a water hole right next to the property and they’ve built a photographic hide right next to it – great for ground-level photos of elephants and other wildlife!

Then we’ll do 3 nights at Little Sable. Little Sable was originally built as a photographer’s camp and you can easily see wildlife in the lush area around camp.

We’ll finish with 3 nights at Duke’s Camp, right on the edge of the Delta. Duke’s has incredible views over a seasonal lagoon and you can enjoy game viewing from the comfort of your room. You’ll immerse yourself in the wilderness with game drives and mokoro excursions (you can even do scenic helicopter flights for an extra fee).
