Serengeti and Beyond

October 2026

Experience the iconic wildlife and landscapes of northern Tanzania

Join me in October 2026 on a safari through some of East Africa’s most legendary wildlife destinations. This carefully designed Northern Circuit safari visits Tanzania’s top parks and conservation areas, each offering unforgettable wildlife encounters and breathtaking scenery.

One unique feature of this safari: the single supplement is only $1,195. Want your own tent? This is a great opportunity to go on safari without sharing a room.

Our adventure begins with a night in Arusha to rest after international travel. From there, we set off on a thrilling exploration of northern Tanzania. All of the camps are small and intimate, with large rooms, private bathrooms, hot showers, and excellent food.

We fly to our deluxe camp in central Serengeti for three nights. We spend our days exploring the Seronera Valley and surrounding plains — prime leopard country — while soaking in the vast, iconic landscapes of the Serengeti.

Next, we head to the northern Serengeti, a landscape of rolling hills, granite kopjes, and acacia trees. Over three days, we explore the Mara River and Kuria Hills, hoping to witness migrating wildebeest herds navigating the rivers — sometimes narrowly escaping crocodiles lying in wait.

Two nights at Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage site, let us experience one of Africa’s most famous wildlife destinations. Our camp is nestled in an ancient acacia forest, providing early morning access for game drives — the best time to see the Crater.

We conclude at a stunning lodge overlooking Tarangire National Park and its iconic baobab trees. This is prime elephant season: large herds with their young come down to the river to drink, sometimes gathering in groups of 100 or more right around our vehicles.

Once you’re on the ground in Arusha, I’ve arranged for all lodging, meals, and transportation until you leave: all internal flights, transfers to and from airports and lodges, drinks/beer/house wines, and basic laundry at all safari camps. Most importantly, I have two private game vehicles for the group to enable you to see and photograph wildlife with minimal obstacles.

You’ll need to cover your international airfare, any premium alcohol, tips for staff and guides, and travel insurance.
